The Bay of Naples or Napoli as it is known by the Italians is located in the centre of the Mediterraneo, at the base of Mount Vesuvius. It covers around 117,27 sqkm with a population of around 1.020.120 inhabitants. and 6th Century b.c. as a port and also as a holiday resort for patrician families. Naples is adorned with numerous churches, monuments, palaces, castles, theatres, parks and spectacular scenaries. It is also a wonderful base for tourists as it is close to all tourist attractions and locations such as Sorrento, Capri, Ischia, Positano and Amalfi.
